"I’ve never really written a description of myself, but I guess that’s a description in and of itself. I spend my summers in Ottawa and school years in a small town of London Ontario where I attend Fanshawe College for a program focused on music production, engineering, and business. I’m about to go into my second year there, and this DREAMORTALS project is something I’m doing this summer and possibly next year, because it just felt right. I generally keep my head down about my own music, whether that’s because of my school being focused on rock or because I find the process of creating and appreciating music and art to be too subjective and personal to want to share, I felt it’s about time I release a bit of material to showcase myself. The EP is a combination of 3 songs that are all fairly different from each other, but as that bothered me before I came to realize that I’m still trying to find my own sound. I love everything from folk to future garage and anything in between and beyond but I don’t want to slip into a niche because I feel that who I am as a human doesn’t slip into a niche either, and I want to express that. I look forward to developing my sound and my ability to express myself in a unique way, and although this EP isn’t at the level I want to be at yet, if it was then this journey surely wouldn’t be much fun. I’m a rambler and I love to type and I hope Corbin doesn’t hate me after having to deal with the amount of hesitation and last minute changes I’ve put him through with this release.
